An exciting opportunity to join the Global Alpha Fund team and work for CBRE Global Investment Management’s flagship global, core plus, open end fund product. The Global Alpha Team is dynamic and this role sits at the heart of the day to day operations including close interaction with the Fund Manager and wider portfolio management team.
Global Alpha is diversified across geographies and sectors, using a range of investment structures including Funds, joint ventures, co-investment, clubs and direct assets.
The purpose of this role will include portfolio management responsibilities for the Global Alpha Fund; including input on portfolio strategy, investment selection, portfolio monitoring, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- As a senior member of the portfolio management team for Global Alpha you are responsible for contributing to superior performance.
- Works directly with the Fund Manager.
- Proactively contributes to portfolio strategy.
- Participates in investor update meetings and new business pitches.
- Pro-actively review and monitor existing portfolio holdings.
- Active assessment of new investments/pipeline.
- Oversees production of quarterly and annual fund reports, participate in webinars and communicate actively with clients.
- This role will have a supervisory capacity of the analyst(s) including oversight of data, reporting and analytical outputs.
- Participate in Global Investment Team meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What do you have to offer us?
- Undergraduate degree required
- A minimum of 6 relevant industry experience with a preference, but not requirement, for experience at a consulting firm or in a multi asset investment management or real estate investment management environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience producing written content for institutional clients.
- Good time management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to effectively present information.
- High level of technical knowledge.
- Ability to think independently and draw key insights from relevant data. Effective problem solving skills.
- Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret complex documents and solve problems involving several options in situations.
- Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent IT skills; strong analytical and Microsoft Excel modeling skills – prior experience with commercial real estate discounted cash flow modeling.
- Excellent oral and written English language skills.
