As a member of the residential investment management team, the Associate Director is tasked with driving outperformance for their assets under management by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to create value. The role is intended to allow talented and motivated individuals to further develop their experience and judgment to advance to a more senior-level investment manager competency. The Associate Director will leverage existing industry relationships and represent Invesco Real Estate in the market through interaction with both partners and peers.<\/p>\n<h2>PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive investment strategy, value creation and outperformance through direct oversight of property operations, leasing and capital deployment.<\/li>\n<li>Measure and monitor asset performance against a variety of benchmarks including client objectives, pro-forma metrics, budget and market comparables.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and effectuate annual business plans through actively overseeing property management, leasing, accounting, legal, appraisal, tax, research personnel as well as third-party consultants.<\/li>\n<li>Perform regular market visits and property inspections for assigned assets; travel required.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain open and effective lines of communication with Portfolio Management regarding management of their investments including the physical, financial, and leasing performance.<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with JV partners and service providers while best serving Invesco\u2019s interests.<\/li>\n<li>Actively engage in the appraisal and internal valuation process to ensure accurate results.<\/li>\n<li>Perform acquisition due diligence in collaboration with Acquisitions, Underwriting and Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Review and approve the various documents pertaining to operating and marketing the assets, including management agreements, leasing agreements, service contracts, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Assess prospective commercial tenants\u2019 businesses and credit worthiness and execute leases in mixed-use investments.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain knowledge regarding capital markets activity in assigned region(s).<\/li>\n<li>Review and approve required client reports in final form.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and foster productive working relationships with property management companies, brokers and industry peers.<\/li>\n<li>Establish credibility both internally and externally as Invesco\u2019s regional multifamily expert.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as an active contributing member of the residential team and the broader investment management team, sharing best practices and shaping platform initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Undergraduate degree is required, advanced degree a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of hands-on institutional real estate experience preferred in one or more of the following disciplines: Asset Management, Acquisitions, Underwriting, or Property Management.<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience and strong passion for working with institutional quality multifamily investments.<\/li>\n<li>Broad understanding of the operational and investment fundamentals of institutional real estate.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Effective organizational and time management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong quantitative analysis and Excel modeling skills.<\/li>\n<li>High proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Word &amp; PowerPoint.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Argus Enterprise<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>OTHER ATTRIBUTES SOUGHT<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Solutions and results oriented<\/li>\n<li>Creative and innovative<\/li>\n<li>Intellectually curious<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/invesco.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/IVZ\/job\/San-Francisco-California\/Associate-Director--Investment-Management_R-12659?q=commercial%20real%20estate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Invesco&#8217;s Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Associate Director position is based in San Francisco or Los Angeles, CA and will be responsible for direct oversight of all aspects of investment management for a portfolio of&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2767,"featured_media":1752,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"San Francisco, CA","_application":"https:\/\/invesco.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/IVZ\/job\/San-Francisco-California\/Associate-Director--Investment-Management_R-12659?q=commercial%20real%20estate","_company_name":"Invesco Real Estate","_company_website":"https:\/\/www.invesco.com\/","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":"","_apply_link":"","_hide_expiration":"0","_company_facebook":""},"job_listing_region":[193],"job-categories":[37,238],"job-types":[2],"job_listing_tag":[241],"class_list":{"0":"post-41433","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","5":"hentry","6":"job_listing_region-usa-west","7":"job_listing_category-asset-management","8":"job_listing_category-portfolio-management","9":"job_listing_type-full-time","10":"job_listing_tag-real-estate-private-equity","12":"job-type-full-time"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
