The candidate will assist the team in underwriting and making investment decisions in CMBS and other real estate-related assets for various PIMCO funds. The candidate will assist in the evaluation of both CMBS and opportunistic debt and equity investments for PIMCO\u2019s alternative funds.<\/p>\n<h2>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in asset-level credit underwriting on CMBS and CRE loans, and identify investment opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Prepare investment memos\/notes to be presented to senior portfolio managers<\/li>\n<li>Review of Prospectus, Pooling and Servicing Agreements, Indentures and appraisals associated with securities offerings<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and analyze the performance of existing investments<\/li>\n<li>Support the development of new business initiatives in CMBS\/CRE and other opportunistic investments for the firm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>POSITION REQUIREMENTS<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, and Intex (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>2-5+ years on a CMBS trading desk or CMBS syndicate group on sell-side, or equivalent experience in private equity or real estate investment management-related field<\/li>\n<li>Must have CRE underwriting experience<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding academic credentials and demonstrated leadership capabilities<\/li>\n<li>Strong work ethic and integrity, candidate should be a team player that is proactive and self-motivated<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, interpersonal communication, and writing skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/pimco.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/pimco-careers\/job\/Newport-Beach-CA-USA\/CMBS-CRE-Portfolio-Manager_R105796?jobFamilyGroup=6e192a3f175201508467c7b1f9096c28&amp;jobFamilyGroup=6e192a3f175201dedd3984baf9097228&amp;jobFamilyGroup=6e192a3f175201133a64ab9ff9096028\">Pimco&#8217;s Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PIMCO is seeking an associate or VP level CMBS\/CRE Portfolio Manager to be part of its opportunistic investment team based in Newport Beach, CA.
