The team will also partner with international chief investment officers to build consistency in the approach to asset allocation for the global businesses. The Investment Strategy Team is a key contact point with MII colleagues in the development and execution of portfolio strategies to support key metrics and strategic initiatives. The team will be a key interface with MIM, particularly the Insurance Asset Management Team, when coordinating and overseeing execution of MII\u2019s quarterly \/ ongoing asset allocation plan.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the development of capital market themes that inform risk and opportunities across asset sectors.<\/li>\n<li>Support MII\u2019s quarterly asset allocation plan for the US general account (QAA).<\/li>\n<li>Conduct and report quarterly relative value analysis across asset sectors as a key input for QAA.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor MII asset gain\/loss programs.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee execution and track the progress of the MII asset allocation by the MIM team.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with Investment Finance to submit \/ verify investment assumptions for Plan and projection.<\/li>\n<li>Support MII on product, capital, earning and other line-of-business initiatives across US Business, MetLife Holdings, M&amp;A, Risk, Treasury, Finance, and reinsurance.<\/li>\n<li>Support the development of investment and pricing strategies, incorporating macroeconomic, market, asset supply, ALM, and business considerations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7+ years industry and related asset management experience.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of capital market&#8217;s structure and dynamics.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of insurance industry balance sheets, financial analysis and regulatory regimes.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of fixed income and equity investments and their role within insurance portfolios under multiple regulatory regimes.<\/li>\n<li>Strong quantitative and analytical skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree required.
