The position requires deep market knowledge, strong client relationships, and the ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions from initial underwriting through closing. This role will be based in our Newport Beach office, with flexibility to consider exceptional candidates to be based in our Santa Monica office.<\/p>\n<h2>Essential Functions<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead deal workflow through all phases of transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee and mentor junior team members on tools and methods for underwriting, creation of marketing collateral, and otherwise executing their responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li>Proactively lead client engagement efforts, including property tours, client meetings and entertainment.<\/li>\n<li>Execute deals independently, strategically managing internal resources.<\/li>\n<li>Research and participate in strategic planning to find optimal capital markets solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Function as an integral part of the West Coast Investment Sales team with a focus on office, life sciences, mixed use, studios, and loan sales transactions, and effectively interface with senior management and clients.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare presentation materials for prospective clients.<\/li>\n<li>Recognize and build relationships with clients that ultimately leads to new business.<\/li>\n<li>Track opportunities and take responsibility for team integration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Education and Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>10+ years of experience in commercial real estate, advisory, or a combination of both.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience leading investment sales transactions, including underwriting, marketing process management, and coordination through closing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Experience, Skills and Competencies Required<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of real estate transactions with advanced underwriting techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced ARGUS, Excel financial modeling skills and strong attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to conceptualize real estate investment opportunities within the framework of relevant microeconomic and macroeconomic factors.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work within a highly collaborative team setting.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to consistently produce high quality work under tight time frames.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities to completion independently within agreed upon deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Display strong sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results.<\/li>\n<li>Eastdil Secured requires each non-administrative exempt staff member to be licensed as appropriate in the respective region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Other Duties<\/h2>\n<p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
