Working closely with the Chief Underwriter and senior leadership, you will lead underwriting efforts from initial analysis through credit committee approval, ensuring each transaction meets HUD\/FHA MAP guidelines while supporting Arbor\u2019s disciplined credit standards.<\/p>\n<p>This role offers meaningful exposure to complex transactions, collaboration across underwriting, closing, and servicing teams, and the opportunity to deepen expertise within one of the most active FHA lending platforms in the industry.<\/p>\n<h2>What You\u2019ll Do<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Underwrite multifamily and healthcare loans in accordance with FHA MAP guidelines and Arbor\u2019s internal credit standards<\/li>\n<li>Prepare detailed underwriting analyses, financial models, and credit memoranda used to evaluate each transaction<\/li>\n<li>Review and interpret third-party reports including appraisal, market studies, environmental reports, and engineering assessments<\/li>\n<li>Assemble and present loan packages and underwriting recommendations to senior management and credit committee<\/li>\n<li>Partner with originations, closing, and servicing teams to move transactions efficiently from underwriting through closing<\/li>\n<li>Work directly with FHA personnel, borrowers, consultants, and industry partners to resolve issues and ensure compliance with program requirements<\/li>\n<li>Lead analysts supporting the underwriting process, helping organize deal pipelines and prioritize deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Identify and resolve issues related to the interpretation and application of FHA policies and underwriting guidelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What You Bring<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field<\/li>\n<li>3\u20135+ years of experience underwriting FHA multifamily loans, including familiarity with HUD MAP programs<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of FHA multifamily underwriting guidelines, including both new construction and acquisition\/refinance transactions<\/li>\n<li>Experience reviewing third-party due diligence reports and HUD-required loan documentation<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and analyze complex underwriting models<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously<\/li>\n<li>Experience underwriting senior housing or healthcare transactions is a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/arbor.com\/jobs\/?gh_jid=7663299003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arbor Realty Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As an FHA MAP Underwriter, you will play a central role in evaluating and structuring FHA-insured multifamily and healthcare transactions within Arbor\u2019s Agency Lending platform.
