This position will be part of a national team responsible for the origination and servicing of mortgage loans in the food and agribusiness sectors across the continental United States. This opportunity is focused on supporting origination and servicing of mortgage loans in the food and agribusiness sector, providing support to Mortgage Originators and Regional Office Management.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Business development and asset (loan) origination.<\/li>\n<li>Relationship management in collaboration with the team.<\/li>\n<li>Portfolio Management.<\/li>\n<li>Take the lead role in credit underwriting, and Financing Memo preparation in collaboration with the Mortgage Originators.<\/li>\n<li>Industry research on food and agribusiness industries.<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration with the Loan Closing team and Mortgage Originators for loan closings.<\/li>\n<li>Coordination of loan servicing\/reporting in collaboration with Mortgage Originators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in a related field such as Business, Finance, Accounting, Agriculture, or a comparable discipline.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of experience in agricultural finance, commercial real estate lending, or related lending activities.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting lending activities including underwriting, servicing, portfolio management, and commercial credit portfolio administration.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in commercial credit analysis and decision\u2011making, including use of financial projection models.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to loan documentation, collateral review, and preparation of credit approval packages, annual reviews, and portfolio reports.<\/li>\n<li>Strong portfolio and relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective customer and peer relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in MS Office 365, particularly Word and Excel (including spreadsheet creation and formulas).<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Moody\u2019s RiskCalc or similar credit risk tools.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, problem\u2011solving, project management, and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines and requests.<\/li>\n<li>Must have appropriate work authorization in the country where the position is located and not require relocation assistance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Self-Manages for effective performance \u2013 both independently and within a team.<\/li>\n<li>Detail oriented, dependable, discreet, proactive &amp; highly organized.<\/li>\n<li>Builds relationships with internal and external clients.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interpret and apply credit policy consistently across underwriting, servicing, and portfolio monitoring.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills to identify loan\u2011level and portfolio\u2011level trends, exceptions, and emerging risks.<\/li>\n<li>Clear written communication skills for credit packages and servicing requests.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational and time\u2011management skills to handle multiple loans, deadlines, and data requests simultaneously.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel proficiency for financial analysis, scenario testing, and portfolio reporting; understanding and use of spreading and platting software.<\/li>\n<li>Experience preparing decision\u2011ready materials for senior credit, risk, or management committees.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of loan servicing processes, including renewals, modifications, and covenant management.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with agricultural lending, rural real estate collateral, and agricultural risk drivers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role <strong>requiring a minimum of 3 days per week<\/strong> in office.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metlifecareers.com\/en_US\/ml\/JobDetail\/MIM-Agribusiness-Associate\/16327\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MetLife Real Estate Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MIM\u2019s Food &amp; Agribusiness Region is seeking an extremely resourceful Associate to support the Food &amp; Agribusiness Region.
