You\u2019ll support core reporting and analytics that drive investment decisions, capital deployment, and funding execution across the portfolio. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that works closely with Development, Capital Markets, Treasury, Accounting, and senior leadership.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is analytically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating across multiple workstreams\u2014from development reporting and investment committee support to debt analysis, treasury funding, and acquisition\/disposition execution.<\/p>\n<h2>What You\u2019ll Do<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Development &amp; Investment Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare development reporting and analysis, including earnings release support files, key development schedules, and financial models<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and support Investment Committee materials and presentations<\/li>\n<li>Maintain development models and reporting resources; assist with year-end yield and projection processes<\/li>\n<li>Draft reporting materials and respond to ad hoc requests from internal business partners<\/li>\n<li>Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely, and decision-ready reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Capital Markets Reporting &amp; Analysis<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support quarterly Capital Markets reporting and analytics<\/li>\n<li>Prepare debt and liability management analysis and review interest income and expense variances<\/li>\n<li>Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and presentation development<\/li>\n<li>Provide ad hoc analytical support on Capital Markets initiatives and projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Acquisitions &amp; Dispositions Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare acquisition and disposition proration files using accounting backup<\/li>\n<li>Work directly with buyers, sellers, and title companies to resolve proration questions and finalize settlement statements<\/li>\n<li>Review final settlement statements for accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Prepare post-closing true-up memos documenting notable items<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Treasury &amp; Funding Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage treasury funding requests, including cash requests, letters of credit, and surety bonds<\/li>\n<li>Maintain tracking for letters of credit and surety bonds and support related accounting reporting and invoicing<\/li>\n<li>Assist with wires, inter-account transfers, acquisition and disposition funding, and investment tracking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support loan administration and other ad hoc analytical or operational requests as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What We\u2019re Looking For<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1-2 years of relevant experience in finance, real estate, investment, treasury, or capital markets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; Capabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and analysis with multiple variables<\/li>\n<li>Experience with forecasting, quantitative analysis, and rate of return calculations<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build, analyze, and interpret complex financial models<\/li>\n<li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities<\/li>\n<li>Experience operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.avalonbay.com\/job\/arlington\/capital-markets-analyst\/125\/93643610656\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Avalon Bay Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the Company\u2019s Financial Services team, this role sits at the intersection of development, treasury, and capital markets.
