This role will leverage your expertise in a collaborative working environment alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advise on the application of appraisal review methods, valuation analyses, and analytical frameworks to identify transactions, conclusions, and process areas that may pose potential enterprise risk.<\/li>\n<li>Perform independent reviews of multifamily appraisal reports and third-party review reports, evaluating assumptions, methodology, market support, property analysis, current market conditions, and the overall reasonableness of value conclusions.<\/li>\n<li>Produce clear, timely, and well-supported review conclusions that identify material issues, recommend practical resolutions, and strengthen the quality and consistency of appraisal-related decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>Manage appraisal review workflows, including ordering and tracking third-party appraisal reports and reviews, coordinating issue resolution, and maintaining disciplined documentation throughout the review process.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with Multifamily business to carry out business strategies leveraging appraisal subject matter expertise, train and support valuation reasonableness assessments that inform business decisions that will drive success and ensure safety and soundness amid changing market conditions and regulatory expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Manage and monitor the approved appraisal vendor panel and related controls to support strong third-party oversight, vendor performance, and high-quality appraisal delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Present findings and\/or appraisal risk insights and recommendations clearly and persuasively to management and enterprise partners.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain current knowledge of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Appraiser Independence Requirements, and relevant company valuation guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The position can be based out of Plano, TX, Washington DC, or Reston, VA<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Required Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6 years of related experience.<\/li>\n<li>Current General Appraisal Certification.<\/li>\n<li>Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Experience &amp; Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent professional experience.<\/li>\n<li>Professional Appraisal Designation.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Excel skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience performing or overseeing multifamily appraisal reviews and interacting effectively with third-party appraisers, lender counterparties, or cross-functional stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.<\/li>\n<li>AI-literacy and comfortable leveraging AI tools in their day-to-day work, as integrating AI into how we operate is a core expectation across all roles at Fannie Mae.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/fanniemae.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/FannieMaeCareers\/job\/Plano-TX\/Multifamily-Appraisal-Advisor_JR2386?q=multifamily\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fannie Mae&#8217;s Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice on, and guide team in, assessing and identifying potential risks that may threaten our reputation, safety, security, and\/or&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7459,"featured_media":41893,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Plano, TX","_application":"https:\/\/fanniemae.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/FannieMaeCareers\/job\/Plano-TX\/Multifamily-Appraisal-Advisor_JR2386?q=multifamily","_company_name":"Fannie Mae","_company_website":"https:\/\/www.fanniemae.com\/","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"$141000 -
