The Credit platform is responsible for the origination, underwriting, execution, and asset management of commercial real estate debt and preferred equity investments secured by development, transitional, and stabilized properties across major U.S. markets.<\/p>\n<p>This professional will be a core member of the investment team and will play a critical role across the full life cycle of transactions, including sourcing support, underwriting, diligence, structuring, closing, and ongoing portfolio management. The role offers broad exposure across Affinius Capital\u2019s Credit platform and direct interaction with senior leadership, sponsors, intermediaries, and third\u2011party advisors. The ideal candidate is client\u2011focused, hard\u2011working, intellectually curious, and technically proficient, with strong credit judgment and a collaborative, execution\u2011oriented mindset.<\/p>\n<p>This professional will be a core member of the investment team and will play a critical role across the full life cycle of transactions, including sourcing support, underwriting, diligence, structuring, closing, and ongoing portfolio management. The ideal candidate is client\u2011focused, hard\u2011working, intellectually curious, and technically proficient, with strong credit judgment and a collaborative, execution\u2011oriented mindset.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Investment Evaluation &amp; Underwriting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluate and underwrite new commercial real estate credit opportunities, including first mortgage loans, bridge financing, construction loans, mezzanine debt, and preferred equity<\/li>\n<li>Perform holistic credit analysis of properties, business plans, sponsors, guarantors, and capital structures<\/li>\n<li>Review and develop detailed financial models, stress tests, and sensitivity analyses<\/li>\n<li>Provide thoughtful input on underwriting assumptions, risk factors, and downside protections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Investment Committee &amp; Communications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and present clear, credit\u2011focused investment memoranda and recommendations to the Investment Committee and senior leadership<\/li>\n<li>Participate in discussions with deal teams to constructively evaluate risks and assist in executing well\u2011underwritten investments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Deal Execution &amp; Diligence<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate and manage due diligence processes, including appraisals, environmental, engineering, and other third\u2011party reports<\/li>\n<li>Assist in negotiating transaction structures, loan documents, and related agreements<\/li>\n<li>Drive transaction execution by managing communication across internal teams, sponsors, legal counsel, and third\u2011party service providers<\/li>\n<li>Support closings and ensure completion of all internal and external documentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Portfolio &amp; Asset Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support portfolio surveillance and ongoing asset management, including performance monitoring, covenant compliance, and sponsor engagement<\/li>\n<li>Assist with loan amendments, extensions, workouts, and restructurings as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Team Collaboration &amp; Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work collaboratively with analysts and associates to uphold underwriting standards and best practices<\/li>\n<li>Review junior team members\u2019 analyses and materials and contribute to their development<\/li>\n<li>Support senior team members across a wide range of credit\u2011related initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Perform other essential duties, as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Requirements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field<br \/>\n2+ years of experience in commercial real estate credit, underwriting, private equity, capital markets, or restructuring, with direct transaction execution exposure<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of commercial real estate markets, valuation methodologies, and loan structures across all major asset classes<\/li>\n<li>Advanced financial modeling skills; Argus experience required<\/li>\n<li>Solid working knowledge of commercial real estate loan documentation<br \/>\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, and counterparties<\/li>\n<li>Highly detail\u2011oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple transactions in a fast\u2011paced environment<\/li>\n<li>Proactive, intellectually curious, and motivated to expand responsibilities over time<\/li>\n<li>Must be willing to work on\u2011site<\/li>\n<li>Experience and qualifications may warrant placement in a different job title.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/careers-affiniuscapital.icims.com\/jobs\/2276\/senior-analyst--or--associate-credit-investing-%28dallas%2c-tx%29\/job?mobile=false&amp;width=825&amp;height=500&amp;bga=true&amp;needsRedirect=false&amp;jan1offset=480&amp;jun1offset=480\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Affinius Capital&#8217;s Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Affinius Capital is seeking a Senior Analyst -or- Associate to join its Credit Investing team.
