As a key member of the Investor Relations team, this individual will assist the Sr. Director in shaping the company\u2019s external financial messaging through rigorous analysis, thoughtful insights, and best-in-class materials. The ideal candidate brings strong financial acumen, intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a collaborative mindset. This position offers exposure to both key internal and external stakeholders.<\/p>\n<h2>WHAT YOU WILL DO:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Aggregate and synthesize financial and operational data across departments to support external messaging and investor communications.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare, analyze, and refine materials for quarterly earnings, investor presentations, conferences, non-deal roadshows, board meetings, and internal updates.<\/li>\n<li>Manage and update the Investor Relations calendar, ensuring seamless coordination around earnings, conferences, meetings, and other key milestones.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct peer, market, and industry benchmarking to inform strategy, competitive positioning, and investor outreach.<\/li>\n<li>Support the development of press releases, talking points, Q&amp;A, and other communication materials for investor-facing events.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accuracy and consistency across IR deliverables, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging and regulatory standards.<\/li>\n<li>Provide thoughtful, timely analysis to assist leadership in preparing for investor discussions and evaluating market sentiment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>WHAT YOU WILL NEED:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree required<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3\u20135 years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, equity research, investor relations, corporate finance, or a comparable analytical field.<\/li>\n<li>Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling messages.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, S&amp;P Capital IQ) is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Professional maturity, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and resourceful, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.<\/li>\n<li>CFA or progress toward the designation a plus but not required.<\/li>\n<li>Real estate or REIT experience is a plus but not required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>WHAT THE JOB REQUIRES:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and time-sensitive deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative, highly cross-functional team.<\/li>\n<li>The position includes in-person work requirements consistent with the hybrid policy located at Essex&#8217;s corporate office in Irvine.
