The successful candidate will play a meaningful role in driving the performance of portfolio companies through a combination of rigorous financial analysis, data-driven operational insights, and hands-on strategic support.<\/p>\n<p>Brookfield is a meritocratic, entrepreneurial organization. High-performing individuals will have the opportunity to rapidly assume increased responsibility, ultimately progressing toward ownership of specific portfolio companies and later sector responsibility as the incumbent deepens their expertise.<\/p>\n<h2>Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Portfolio Oversight &amp; Value Creation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support Asset Management leads in oversight of portfolio companies, ensuring operating and financial performance is maximized and value creation plans are executed.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to assess performance, identify trends, and evaluate opportunities to improve profitability and returns.<\/li>\n<li>Support strategic planning efforts, including annual budgets, long-term plans, capital expenditure reviews, and financing needs.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze operational KPIs and develop data-driven recommendations that simplify complex issues into actionable decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Engage with portfolio company management teams through on-site visits and regular interaction to deepen business understanding and support execution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration with Investments<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with the Investments team to drive strategic tuck-in acquisitions for portfolio companies and M&amp;A processes for BGTF.<\/li>\n<li>Support underwriting and due diligence for new investments, with emphasis on operational drivers, financial modeling, value creation opportunities, and management evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in cross-staffing on live transactions to develop a well-rounded perspective across the deal lifecycle.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the development of onboarding plans for new investments and support execution of the 100-day value creation roadmap where applicable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Stakeholder Engagement &amp; Communications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare materials for internal stakeholders, including internal updates, Capital Committee presentations, and quarterly reporting to senior Brookfield leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders &#8211; including advisors, consultants, and Brookfield executives and investors &#8211; to advance business plans and strategic initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Support effective communication between Brookfield and portfolio company management teams, ensuring alignment on key priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, infrastructure, power\/energy, or other relevant fields.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional analytical skills with deep expertise in financial and investment analysis, including advanced financial modelling capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage and evaluate a business through KPIs and data-driven frameworks.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate across teams.<\/li>\n<li>Meticulous attention to detail, combined with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in performance-driven environments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/brookfield.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com\/brookfield\/job\/New-York-New-York\/Associate--Asset-Management_R2049180\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brookfield Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reporting to the VP \/ SVP, Asset Management, the Associate will be an integral member of the team, working side-by-side with both Asset Management and Investments professionals in a deeply&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2767,"featured_media":2379,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"New York, NY","_application":"https:\/\/brookfield.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com\/brookfield\/job\/New-York-New-York\/Associate--Asset-Management_R2049180","_company_name":"Brookfield","_company_website":"https:\/\/www.brookfield.com\/","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"$150,000 -
