They will be responsible for conducting research, preparing Argus\/Excel analyses and cash flow projections, and assisting with appraisal reports.<\/p>\n<p>In this exciting opportunity, you will join a team that is focused primarily on appraising institutional-grade assets in markets across the country. Working as part of a national team, you will be trained to work seamlessly with staff in other offices using technology, while also being part of the local office.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn and work with the team to support institutional client&#8217;s acquisitions, asset management and lending needs for their commercial real estate portfolios.<\/li>\n<li>Developing cash flow projections to be used in the appraisal process, using industry standard software.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing accurate analysis or portions of appraisal reports using the latest market information obtained from various internal\/external partners. Extensive senior co-worker collaboration is anticipated.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting research and collecting data from both internal database and third-party sources with respect to market rental rates, comparable building transactions and general market knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring data collected as part of on-going assignments is entered accurately into the company database in a timely fashion.<\/li>\n<li>Continuously upgrading the level of knowledge regarding market and industry trends<\/li>\n<li>Become a Candidate with the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Maintain Candidate status by completing requirements outline by the AIC, e.g. completing minimum of one (1) of the required courses towards designation per year<\/li>\n<li>As a Candidate, in partnership with the Consultant, Sr. Consultant, Associate Director, Director, or Sr. Director, perform building inspections in the local area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Skills, Education and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University or degree, preferably in Commerce, Real Estate, Economics, or Finance<br \/>\nor related experience in commercial appraisal\/real estate valuation<\/li>\n<li>1 to 2 years of work experience in commercial real estate<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills \u2013 written, verbal, and oral presentation<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel (vlookup, if statements,<br \/>\npivot tables, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Basic skills in creating financial models (i.e. Excel, Argus, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent research, quantitative and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team and independently<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and ethics<\/li>\n<li>Availability to work flexible hours and travel locally for building inspections<\/li>\n<li>Candidate for the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) designation is considered an<br \/>\nasset<\/li>\n<li>Prior valuation experience would be considered an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/hdow.fa.us6.oraclecloud.com\/hcmUI\/CandidateExperience\/en\/sites\/CX_1001\/job\/248584\/?utm_source=website&amp;utm_medium=careers-external&amp;utm_campaign=careers-external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newmark Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Newmark is currently seeking a Sr. Analyst based in Vancouver, BC to join our National Investment team, part of Canada Valuation &amp; Advisory.
