The Financial Analyst will report to the Director, Senior Living Capex and oversee financial analysis, project underwriting, and portfolio-level tracking and reporting across 850+ senior housing communities in North America and the UK. He\/she will be a key contributor to an integral team within Ventas and will have a significant responsibility for, and impact on, the portfolio&#8217;s financial performance. While we do not require any prior real estate or healthcare experience, we do require candidates who are analytical, detail-oriented, intellectually curious, fast learners and have a desire to be an integral part of a company whose track record speaks for itself. Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide analytical support for a portfolio of senior housing assets located across North America and the UK<\/li>\n<li>Leverage property, market, and industry financial and demographic data to underwrite and make recommendations for capital investment feasibility and prioritization on project-by-project basis<\/li>\n<li>Create supporting materials, including the creation of presentations for project approval by company executives<\/li>\n<li>Track, forecast, and report project status, cash spend by project, variances to project budget, variances to underwriting on financial performance and returns on investment<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with various Ventas internal teams and operating partners to help effectively manage up to ~$500M+ in annual organic capital investments across ~850+ senior housing communities<\/li>\n<li>Conduct occasional site visits to help evaluate potential projects and review ongoing or completed projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Mathematics or similar field<\/li>\n<li>1+ years of post-undergraduate experience<\/li>\n<li>Must be located in the Chicago, IL or New York, NY surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to adapt and thrive in a blended work environment with 3-days in office, seamlessly transitioning between remote work and in-office operations<\/li>\n<li>Strong proficiency in MS Excel and proficiency in MS PowerPoint required<\/li>\n<li>Experience using Power Query\/Power BI, Python and other business intelligence and\/or coding skills would be beneficial, but not required<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of finance and accounting concepts<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/ventas.wd503.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/ventas_careers\/job\/IL---Chicago\/Financial-Analyst--Senior-Living-Capex_R0001477\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ventas Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Financial Analyst, Senior Living Capex will have the opportunity to join an S&amp;P 500 company and work on a high-profile and growing portfolio of senior housing assets with a&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":7459,"featured_media":19873,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Chicago, IL","_application":"https:\/\/ventas.wd503.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/ventas_careers\/job\/IL---Chicago\/Financial-Analyst--Senior-Living-Capex_R0001477","_company_name":"Ventas","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.ventasreit.com\/","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"$75,000 -
