This position will be responsible for managing construction activities consistent with approved project documents, financial objectives, and internal processes. The Manager, Construction will establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all team members regardless of role or level.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Construction:<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor construction progress.<\/li>\n<li>Review project schedules, subcontractor issues, and city requirements with the General Contractor\u2019s Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure on-time delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the Request For Information (RFI) process.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the submittals process.<\/li>\n<li>Review Change Order requests with General Contractors, Project Managers, and Superintendents.<\/li>\n<li>Review and initial Change Orders prior to sign off by the Senior Manager, Construction or above.<\/li>\n<li>Review and initial draw requests prior to sign-off by the Senior Manager, Construction or above.<\/li>\n<li>Review and update project budgets with the Senior Manager, Construction or above on a weekly basis.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the General Contractor\u2019s site safety program.<\/li>\n<li>Provide weekly project updates to key stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Closeout\/Post Construction:<\/li>\n<li>Manage the project closeout process including warranties, as-builts drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, and the Notice of Completion.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the turnover process with the Operations team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in Google Suite, Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preferred Education:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree (or equivalent experience)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preferred Years of Relevant Work Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years of experience in multifamily construction (project manager or equivalent experience)<\/li>\n<li>2+ years of experience in construction management or engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Occasional travel required<\/li>\n<li>Valid California driver\u2019s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law.
