PGIM RE originates a wide variety of commercial mortgage investments for Prudential\u2019s General Account, investment management clients, and other third-party capital sources (such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, CMBS or other institutional investors).<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking a <strong>Senior Underwriter<\/strong> to join our Agency Lending business. As a senior member of the multifamily underwriting team, this role plays a critical part in managing loan transactions from initial screening through final approval. You\u2019ll work closely with clients, Agency partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure thorough due diligence and credit analysis, while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to the strategic direction of the underwriting function. This is a highly collaborative role that combines technical expertise with leadership and client engagement.<\/p>\n<p>The role will be a hybrid role based in any of the following locations: Arlington, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas.<\/p>\n<h2>What you can expect<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor the collection and due diligence materials as well as approval of due diligence materials reviewed by underwriting staff.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and serve as the point of contact on credit and underwriting issues with the Agency, when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for training team members.<\/li>\n<li>Complete review, analysis, and approval of due diligence materials related to loan submissions.<\/li>\n<li>Review and provide commentary on third party reports.<\/li>\n<li>Finalize the underwriting narrative and model and\/or provide direction to underwriting staff.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure on-going communication on all aspects of the loan process with key stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct site visits independently.<\/li>\n<li>Actively collaborate across the Underwriting team on portfolios or larger underwriting efforts.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to proactively collaborate with Agency partners as necessary throughout the transaction.<\/li>\n<li>Present to Investment\/Loan Committee when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Research and analyze markets\/submarket trends and fundamentals.<\/li>\n<li>Management and mentorship of team analysts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What you will bring<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree and 8 or more years of experience in commercial underwriting experience<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take ownership for loan transactions and manage workload with minimal supervision<\/li>\n<li>Thorough product knowledge of Agency financing (specifically Fannie Mae and\/or Freddie Mac experience) and general multifamily financing alternatives<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in analysis of Mortgage Credit and Borrower structures<\/li>\n<li>Experience mentoring and training junior team members<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Proven management capability<\/li>\n<li>Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.pgim.com\/us-en\/jobs-details\/R-124388\/pgim-senior-director-underwriter-hybrid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PGIM Real Estate Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PGIM Real Estate (PGIM RE) is one of the nation\u2019s largest full-service commercial real estate lenders.
