Working alongside Development Managers and senior members of the Design &amp; Construction team, you will help manage projects from early planning through construction and closeout while supporting project budgets, schedules, quality, safety, and overall project execution.<\/p>\n<p>This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects, including residential, mixed-use, industrial, commercial, multifamily, data center, and capital improvement work throughout Northern California. Project assignments will vary based on business needs and provide exposure to a range of asset types and delivery methods.<\/p>\n<p>You will work closely with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to help deliver successful projects across Northern California.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the planning and execution of development and capital projects from preconstruction through construction and project closeout.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate project budgets, schedules, procurement activities, reporting, and project documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with Development Managers during design, entitlement, permitting, bidding, construction, and turnover.<\/li>\n<li>Support the design process by coordinating architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors throughout each phase of the project.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with budgeting, constructability reviews, value engineering, procurement strategies, and project planning during preconstruction.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor project progress through regular site visits, helping maintain project objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and budget.<\/li>\n<li>Support contract administration, change management, project reporting, and closeout activities.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, ownership groups, and public agencies to facilitate project delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain strong working relationships across project teams while contributing to a collaborative and solutions-oriented culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field required.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with a general contractor, developer, owner&#8217;s representative, architecture, engineering, or related commercial real estate organization.<\/li>\n<li>Approximately 8\u201310+ years of progressively responsible experience supporting the planning, design, and construction of commercial real estate projects.<\/li>\n<li>Experience delivering ground-up developments, tenant improvements, capital improvement projects, or other technically challenging construction projects.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting larger or more complex projects is beneficial but not required.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of preconstruction, design management, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and construction administration.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities while working effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Bay Area experience is beneficial but not required.<\/li>\n<li>Work indoors approximately 75% of the time and outdoors approximately 25% of the time.<\/li>\n<li>Regular site visits requiring climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and navigating active construction sites.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.<\/li>\n<li>Travel throughout Northern California and occasional extended hours as business needs require.<\/li>\n<li>Availability to respond to project-related emergencies when necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/careers-hines.icims.com\/jobs\/14369\/senior-manager---design-%26-construction\/job\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hines&#8217;s Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a Senior Manager \u2013 Design &amp; Construction with Hines, you will support the planning and delivery of development and capital projects throughout Northern California.
