The U.S. Residential Alternatives team currently focuses on student housing and age-restricted (active adult) housing investment and development nationally. The individual will be responsible for evaluating potential acquisitions and developments and participating in setting the acquisition strategy in these asset classes. This position will require periodic travel.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Underwrite stabilized, value-add and development investment opportunities using Excel to develop pro forma cash flows and sensitivity analyses<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate internally and with third parties to generate operating business plans and key assumptions<\/li>\n<li>Assist with due diligence process associated with acquisitions and developments including performing feasibility analyses, costing analyses, detailed entitlement processes, financial underwriting and debt financing<\/li>\n<li>Perform robust market research \u2013 through third-party data providers and communication both internally and with local brokers \u2013 to compile relevant lease comparable, sale comparable, competitive sets, development pipelines, and general market data to inform underwritings<\/li>\n<li>Prepare presentation materials and proposals with responsibility for written and graphic requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Skills &amp; Qualifications:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>3-6 years of experience in an analytically rigorous Real Estate or Finance environment<\/li>\n<li>Experience with residential investing and student housing or age-restricted housing a plus<\/li>\n<li>Evident passion for real estate and desire to build a career on the principal side<\/li>\n<li>Motivated with curiosity and desire for continued growth<\/li>\n<li>Strong creative problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Effective written and oral communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work effectively with both peers and senior executives in a highly entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment<\/li>\n<li>Consistent attention to detail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/ts.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com\/en-US\/tishmanspeyer\/job\/NYC---Midtown\/Associate---Senior-Associate---US-Residential-Alternatives--New-York_R009312\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tishman Speyer&#8217;s Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are seeking an associate or senior associate to join the U.S. Residential Alternatives team for an immediate start in our New York office.
