The portfolio includes office, retail, industrial, multi-family, hotels, plus alternative investments such as data centers, senior housing, manufactured housing, single family residential communities and self-storage.<\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Acquisitions and Joint Ventures team in the Los Angeles Region in underwriting, due diligence, acquiring and closing equity investments for the MetLife general account as well as MIM Real Estate\u2019s third-party investment accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the underwriting, valuation and financial analysis of potential transactions utilizing Excel and Argus software by interpreting rent rolls, income statements, offering memorandums, development models, and other relevant property level reports.<\/li>\n<li>In-depth analytical analyses involving advanced Excel modeling of potential acquisitions and developments, including sensitivity analysis, various leverage structures, joint venture waterfalls and promote structures.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in preparation of transaction approval memos including market research\/trends to formulate underwriting assumptions.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in due diligence including ARGUS audit, review of tenant estoppels, rent roll\/lease verification and OFAC compliance for the acquisition and development of real estate equity assets. Work with asset managers during the closing\/onboarding process. Interface with all parties involved in the acquisition due diligence and closing process, including internal as well as external partners such as regional architects, JV partners, portfolio, asset &amp; property managers, legal counsel, brokers, third party consultants and representatives of third-party investor accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in presenting the transaction to investment committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in a business-related field required<\/li>\n<li>4+ years of commercial real estate experience across multiple property types (industrial, multifamily, retail, self-storage, senior housing, SFR communities, office, data centers, and hotels)<\/li>\n<li>4+ years of experience in commercial real estate valuation and ARGUS modeling.<\/li>\n<li>Strong quantitative, financial modeling, and advanced Excel skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in ARGUS Enterprise, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, writing, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to synthesize information and manage multiple projects in a team-oriented environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with Copilot and Hebbia, or other AI platforms to enhance financial modeling, underwriting, data analysis, and workflow efficiency is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>MBA, CFA or equivalent preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Southern California and Phoenix market knowledge preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with industry data platforms such as CoStar, CBRE Econometric Advisors, and Real Capital Analytics preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metlifecareers.com\/en_US\/ml\/JobDetail\/MIM-Associate-Real-Estate-Acquisitions\/18975\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MetLife Real Estate Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This role will be responsible for supporting new equity acquisitions for MetLife\u2019s general account and third-party investors.
