This individual will partner closely with the region\u2019s Capital Deployment team members and cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities.<\/p>\n<h2>Key responsibilities include:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Partner with Investment and Market Officers, Development, Entitlement, and Leasing teams to source and execute capital deployment opportunities, including land acquisitions, value-add redevelopments, developments, single-asset and portfolio acquisitions, and select M&amp;A opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners including brokers, architects, contractors, engineers and other consultants to expand deal flow and market intelligence.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and present new investment opportunities by analyzing market trends and competitive dynamics.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct comprehensive macroeconomic and market research initiatives, monitor key trends, and prepare presentations that inform investment strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Lead underwriting, feasibility analysis, and financial modeling (DCF, pro forma, Argus, Excel) to evaluate acquisitions and speculative development projects.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and deliver investment memos and presentations for senior management and the Investment Committee.<\/li>\n<li>Support quarterly reporting and ongoing evaluation of the existing land bank and pipeline.<\/li>\n<li>Provide analytical and execution support to advance new business opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Building blocks for success<\/h2>\n<p>Required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>3+ years of experience in real estate (investment, finance, development, or private equity).<\/li>\n<li>Advanced understanding of real estate finance, equity capitalization structures, and valuation concepts (NPV, IRR, cap rates).<\/li>\n<li>Experience reviewing and preparing key real estate documents (LOIs, offering memorandums, leases, market reports, RFPs).<\/li>\n<li>Strong financial modeling skills in Argus and Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills with attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel up to 25% locally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preferred:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven ability to source and execute deals independently.<\/li>\n<li>Master\u2019s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Houston, Austin, and San Antonio real estate market.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative, team-oriented approach with ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.<\/li>\n<li>Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with ability to distill complex concepts clearly.<\/li>\n<li>Highly motivated, organized, and adaptable with a strong sense of ownership.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Salesforce, Yardi, PeopleSoft, or similar systems is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed.
