Members of the FOA team share a strong drive to provide timely, accurate, and critical financial data analysis for the firm. In this Senior Finance Manager role, you will have cross-functional visibility and the opportunity to work alongside internal groups, such as Portfolio &amp; Asset Management and Client Service &amp; Marketing, and external service providers.<\/p>\n<p>The Vice President will lead a team in delivering accounting, finance, valuation, and portfolio &amp; asset management support within the Heitman organization. The ideal candidate will be a trusted leader and self-starter with strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills while working in a highly collaborative environment. They will also demonstrate strong organizational skills and adeptness at multitasking, coupled with a proven track record of successfully leading and developing professional staff.<\/p>\n<h2>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports and supporting accounting workpapers from our third-party fund administrator.<\/li>\n<li>Lead in review and final approval of complex accounting transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, and waterfall calculations.<\/li>\n<li>Review and approve IRR\u2019s and time-weighted returns and provide analytical observations and projections to Portfolio &amp; Asset Management.<\/li>\n<li>Lead in coordination, review and analysis of quarterly property and debt valuations, collaborating with Heitman\u2019s Capital Markets, Portfolio &amp; Asset Management, Research, and Acquisition teams throughout the process.<\/li>\n<li>Leverage relationships both inside and outside of Heitman and technical expertise to effectively and efficiently resolve questions\/issues and determine best practices and improved processes.<\/li>\n<li>Participate ad hoc projects, including due diligence review of real estate acquisitions and dispositions, leasehold analysis, and consultant\/client questionnaires or other projects to assist Portfolio Management in improving investor value and client service.<\/li>\n<li>Assist department leaders and other senior stakeholders within Heitman to develop and complete strategic initiatives, such as launching new funds, developing new organizational processes, and other key projects.<\/li>\n<li>Manage relationships with third-parties, including clients, fund administrators, consultants, JV operators, property managers, appraisers, auditors, and other key individuals.<\/li>\n<li>Assist Portfolio &amp; Asset Management in implementing fund\/account-level and investment specific strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Exhibit ability to perform multiple projects, navigate through unexpected challenges, and develop viable solutions that optimize fund\/account performance.<\/li>\n<li>Lead communication of analysis and results to broader internal team, including department, investment committee, Client Service &amp; Marketing, and valuation committee.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor direct reports and others on their dedicated team as it relates to career development, address staffing needs and navigate performance management and team issues.<\/li>\n<li>Introduce fund\/account and platform-level efficiencies and oversee implementation of improvements, including the development of tech-enabled tools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 10 years of real estate accounting and finance experience<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in accounting or finance<\/li>\n<li>CPA designation is desirable<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office package including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communicator with strong writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage requests from multiple business partners under tight deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment<\/li>\n<li>Supervisory experience directly and indirectly<\/li>\n<li>Experience in valuation and\/or Argus modeling is a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heitman.com\/jobs\/ozvLAfw9\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Heitman Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Financial Operations &amp; Analysis (FOA) department is looking to hire a Vice President to join their team!
