The position requires proactive asset management and timely resolution of the assigned portfolio of distressed CRE mortgage loans. The primary function of the Special Servicer is to manage non-performing loans in accordance with the applicable investor Seller\/Servicer Guides. Risk Management\u2019s objective is to pursue the best resolution path that maximizes the recovery.<\/p>\n<h2>Essential Job Functions (Duties\/Responsibilities)<\/h2>\n<p><strong>This position will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor quality and performance of a non-performing loan portfolio from Default through resolution<\/li>\n<li>Ability to structure and execute resolution strategies (i.e. Foreclosure, Forbearance, Note Sale, DPO, Loan Modification or Reinstatement) in conjunction with the Investor goals<\/li>\n<li>Perform comprehensive analysis of property cash flow, markets, collateral, and valuation while determining possible alternatives for default resolution<\/li>\n<li>Partner closely with Agency Asset Management counterparts, to carry out desired resolution strategy<\/li>\n<li>Review legal filings for accuracy and completeness<\/li>\n<li>Prepare payoff\/ reinstatement calculations<\/li>\n<li>Prepare quarterly Loan Loss calculations<\/li>\n<li>Review property condition assessment (PCA) reports to understand the scope of immediate repairs needed at the collateral property<\/li>\n<li>Review property appraisal reports to understand the As-Is and As Stabilized values and impact on loss exposure<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of legal contracts, bankruptcy law, foreclosure process, and loan servicing agreements<\/li>\n<li>Lead, engage and interact with third parties including attorneys, receivers, management companies, brokers, appraisers, and environmental firms and engineers<\/li>\n<li>Conduct Physical Property inspections, as required, in order to evaluate property condition<\/li>\n<li>Provide timely written updates to senior management and investors<\/li>\n<li>Present recommendations in a clear and concise manner<\/li>\n<li>Request and review documentation supporting servicing advances<\/li>\n<li>Will assist the VP\/ SVP, Risk Management on ad-hoc projects and requests from Senior Management<\/li>\n<li>Will work independently to identify problems and provide solutions to management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong> Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Finance, Real-Estate or a related discipline or equivalent work experience preferred.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong> 5+ years loan asset management experience with working knowledge of Special Servicing, bankruptcy and loan workouts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge\/Skills\/Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, research and reporting skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong negotiation and communication (both verbal and written) skills<\/li>\n<li>Extremely high attention to detail and accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable interpreting legal documents such as loan agreements<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and on teams in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Travel: 15-20%<\/h2>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/arbor.com\/jobs\/?gh_jid=7850005003\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arbor Realty Career Page<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Senior Special Servicing Asset Manager is responsible for managing the Special Servicing of a portfolio of Agency (Freddie Mac and\/or Fannie Mae) loans, which are in default or considered&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2767,"featured_media":1757,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Buffalo, NY","_application":"https:\/\/arbor.com\/jobs\/?gh_jid=7850005003","_company_name":"Arbor Realty Trust","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.arbor.com\/careers\/","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JLvMRVWlrvI","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":"","_apply_link":"","_hide_expiration":"0","_company_facebook":""},"job_listing_region":[190],"job-categories":[37,71],"job-types":[2],"job_listing_tag":[242],"class_list":{"0":"post-46269","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","5":"hentry","6":"job_listing_region-usa-northeast","7":"job_listing_category-asset-management","8":"job_listing_category-investment-banking","9":"job_listing_type-full-time","10":"job_listing_tag-reit","12":"job-type-full-time"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.4 -
