We are looking for an intellectually curious and proactive individual to join our independent Global Investment Risk team, whose main responsibility is the oversight and understanding of the various investment risks undertaken within the firm’s business. The Senior Risk Analyst will contribute to the development of the risk policies and to the governance oversight across portfolios, asset classes and jurisdictions. In addition, the Senior Risk Analyst may be also involved in identifying, measuring, monitoring and mitigating risks that impact Invesco’s managed portfolios.
What we are looking for:
- Partner with Product, Legal, and Compliance teams on one side, and with Portfolio Risk Managers on the other, to ensure regulatory requirements and best practices are effectively embedded within the risk frameworks.
- Contribute in building and maintaining a strong connections with risk colleagues in Luxembourg and globally to ensure efficient management of global risk projects and processes, aligning with Luxembourg-specific requirements and more broadly with various regulator-specific requirements (i.e., EMEA, US and APAC).
- Provide support to the relevant committees and stakeholders via production of timely and informative management information.
- Collaborate with the senior leaders within the Investment Risk team, as well as tangential stakeholder teams like Portfolio Managers, Product and Legal/Compliance to set up the risk profiles of the funds (covering at least market risk, liquidity risk, and counterparty risk).
- Help in the on-going maintenance and update of the risk management policy, processes and procedures at global and legal entities level.
- Contribute to supervise and produce – where needed – cross-jurisdictional regulatory reports.
- Participate in projects to challenge, improve and enhance the key risk indicators identified to assess the risks to which the managed portfolios are exposed to.
- Help in the on-going maintenance and update of the framework for risk disclosure in client literature documents (e.g., Prospectus, KID, Factsheets).
- Play an active role in the relevant committees.
- Fulfill the above key responsibilities for UCITS and AIFs domiciled in Luxembourg and globally, and for portfolios managed on a discretionary, client-by-client basis, investing mainly in fixed income, equities, derivatives (both OTC and listed), multi-assets, senior loans, private debt, and real estate.
What you can bring:
- Proven Risk Management experience in Luxembourg
- The requisite skillset(s) for a Senior Risk Analyst role spans 3 areas do not typically overlap. Candidates who are strong in just 1 or 2 of these 3 areas will still stand out in the recruiting process. Invesco will train and mentor any on-the-job expertise that’s needed.
- Area #1: Familiarity with regulatory environments
- Area #2: Technology skills (e.g.- working knowledge of Python, R, SQL and/or Power BI)
- Area #3: Quantitative skills (e.g.- strong understanding of risk models and methodologies)
- Familiarity with the EMEA/Luxembourg regulatory environments. The knowledge of US and APAC regulatory environments is a plus.
- Robust understanding of financial instruments and markets.
- Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, Python, Power BI, Excel and Bloomberg is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
