Essential Land Company
Multifamily and Commercial Asset Management
Overview: Our real estate investment firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Asset Manager to lead the execution of business plans for multifamily and commercial properties in the Colorado and Dallas markets. This is a high-responsibility, high-trust role for someone who thrives on structure, accountability, and solving complex challenges with autonomy.
Compensation: Range of $85,000 to $125,000, depending on experience.
What you’ll do:
· Serve as a right hand to the founder/CEO to oversee property operations
· Own the review and interpretation of monthly financial statements and budgets to track financial performance, spot trends and recommend improvements
· Oversee and enforce operational processes, checklists, and systems across commercial and residential properties
· Manage team members or contractors to ensure deliverables are completed correctly and on time
· Evaluate property performance and recommend operational or capital improvements to enhance asset value
· Serve as the primary liaison between construction, property management, and investment teams to ensure alignment on asset strategy
· Participate in asset reviews, including financials, leasing, and renovation updates
· Monitor and report on the progress of operating and capital improvement plans, identifying risks and opportunities
· Regularly assess property condition, staffing, construction progress, and market dynamics
What We’re Looking For:
· Strong financial fluency: You understand basic accounting principles and can confidently review and discuss financial statements with leadership
· Process-obsessed: You love structure, rigorously follow checklists, and have a zero-tolerance policy for skipping steps
· Real estate operations experience: You’ve led teams or projects before and know how to drive outcomes independently with limited direction
· Exceptional organizational skills: You know where everything is, when it’s due, and who’s responsible for what at all times
· Excellent communicator: You write clearly, think strategically, and know how to get buy-in without drama
Requirements:
· Passionate about organization and process
· 2+ years of experience in multifamily or commercial asset management and property operations
· Bachelor’s degree required; preferred in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or Business
· Strong analytical and communication skills
· Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
· Familiarity with basic financial documents (P&Ls, balance sheets, etc.)
