As an Intern in Investments, you will gain firsthand exposure to the acquisition and transaction process for healthcare real estate across a range of deal sizes and structures. This role provides opportunities to strengthen financial modeling skills, develop investment acumen, and contribute to the execution of transactions that advance Ventas’s growth strategy. Interns will contribute in the following ways:
- Assist the Investments team in modeling and evaluating risks and returns for potential transactions
- Support the due diligence process by analyzing financial, operational, and market data
- Contribute to transaction execution by assisting with closing materials, addressing open items, and participating in closing calls
- Collaborate with team members and legal counsel to ensure accurate, timely, and thorough completion of acquisitions
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a junior in a four-year accredited college or university graduating in 2027; preferred majors include Finance, Economics, Accounting, Real Estate, or related fields
- Successful completion of finance or business coursework; minimum 3.5 GPA required
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication (written and oral) skills
- Familiarity with financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with strong technical and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Self-starter who is adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity, and eager to learn
- Must be able to work full-time in Chicago or New York for a minimum of 10 weeks during Summer 2026
- Must have permanent, unrestricted U.S. work authorization (no current or future sponsorship)
