Assistant Property Manager (Sacramento Office)
Location: Sacramento, CA
Reports To: Director of Property Management

Classification: Full Time, Non Exempt
Hourly Range: $28.85-$36.06
Position:
This role supports a team that values ownership, clear communication, and follow-through. You’ll work closely with a Property Manager to keep properties running smoothly and ensure a strong experience for tenants and clients.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for assisting with the management oversight and assigned commercial properties. The goal is to support the Property Manager’s efforts to maximize asset value, customer satisfaction, and revenue.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in all aspects of physical and financial management as needed and assigned.
Assist with inspection and recommendation of contracted building work as well as monitoring routinely scheduled maintenance that meets standards
Monitor collections, post rent payments, enforce the collection policy, and initiate legal action when required.
Monitor the flow of accounts payable, from initiating work orders to processing invoices.
Accounts payable coding – proper coding of invoices within the Yardi Software Program, as budgeted, for PM approval.
Provide exceptional customer service, respond to tenant issues and complaints in a timely manner, and promote positive relations.
Drafting memos/letters/emails and/or making phone calls to Tenants related to property notifications, preventative maintenance scheduling, inspections, etc.
Provides support to the Property Manager including administration of leases, monthly reporting, annual budget preparation and year end operating expense reconciliations.
Act as Property Manager in absence of the Manager for specified amounts of time.
Assist in Advertising/Marketing vacant spaces to attract tenants
Obtain insurance certificates (COI) from tenants/vendors and follow-up on expirations/renewals.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and follows through. This role supports day-to-day property management, so you should be comfortable handling shifting priorities, communicating clearly, and keeping tasks on track.
The right person takes initiative, works well with tenants and vendors, and supports the team where needed. A basic understanding of property management and financials is helpful, but a willingness to learn is more important.
