Second year MBA students are invited to apply for a Senior Associate position in our Leadership Development Program (LDP). The LDP is a rotational program designed to facilitate multi-disciplinary training and cultivate well-rounded real estate professionals. Senior Associates gain this experience through exposure to Tishman Speyer’s core functional areas. Rotations can last anywhere from 12 months to 24 months and beyond.
The program is based in New York with potential opportunities to spend time in several of our U.S. regional and international offices.
Past rotations have included the following business areas:
- Acquisitions
- Alternatives
- Industrial
- Asset Management
- Corporate Strategy
- Debt Capital Markets
- Design & Construction (pre-acquisitions development)
- Development
- Equity Capital Markets
- Innovation & New Business Development
- Portfolio Management
- Studio (Co-Working)
- Venture
We anticipate that after 1-3 assignments, Senior Associates will continue to build expertise within a specific function or geography. Full-time assignments could include locations across the U.S., Europe, South America, and Asia.
The qualities we are looking for in our Senior Associates include:
- Evident passion for real estate and desire to build a career on the principal side
- Unquestioned integrity
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Demonstrated ability to leverage emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation, and data-driven tools, to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and drive innovation
- Strong problem-solving skills that combine creativity with rigorous analytical ability
- Proficiency in utilizing AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to increase operational efficiency, enhance work quality, and identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
- The ability to work effectively with both peers and senior executives in a highly entrepreneurial, team- oriented environment
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Strong commitment and energy
- Passion for innovation
- Interest and flexibility to work in different functions and geographic regions (foreign languages are a plus)
