The core focus of the Portfolio Management – Valuations and Analytics team is to evaluate, analyze, and summarize valuation and performance results for Blackstone’s ABF investments on a regular basis. This role will focus on private assets in the growing Insurance platform within Blackstone Credit and Insurance (“BXCI”). Other responsibilities may include supporting the broader finance and investor relations teams on an ad hoc basis in managing client, investor and, management requests.
- Manage relationships with third party pricing vendors to onboard new investments, challenge assumptions and marks on monthly/quarterly basis, and other ad hoc requests
- Participate in discussions with and provide deliverables to the ABF investment team related to investments
- Work closely with Investor Relations and Fund Accounting to gather requested investment information and answer any questions on marks or assumptions for clients and auditors
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of management materials for Blackstone’s ABF valuation committee meetings
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly investor communications and other marketing-related schedules and exhibits
- Maintain and expand upon ABF investment list including current invested amount, investment overview, and other key points
- Implement controls, enhancements, and improvements to the group’s reporting processes, procedures, offshore resources, and use of technology
- Participate in various group initiatives and projects
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
- 2+ years of pricing, valuations, product control, or operations experience at an alternative investment manager, bank, relevant consulting firm, or similar environment
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required
- Detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic while handling multiple projects
