Overview

The purpose of this position is to create complex financial models, analyze merger and acquisition targets, and support the corporate development due diligence process. This position reports to the Managing Director of Corporate Development and works closely with the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Analyze acquisition and investment opportunities consistent with Invescos M&A strategy
  • Perform industry and financial analysis leading to specific recommendations
  • Develop complex financial models to evaluate a targets financial projections
  • Perform comprehensive financial valuations involving discounted cash flow, accretion/dilution, and comparable company/transaction analyses
  • Perform and document due diligence (or coordination and review of due diligence performed by others) for potential acquisition targets
  • Develop strong business relationships with business leaders, functional leaders, and investment bankers

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years related work experience
  • Prior investment banking and/or consulting background preferred
  • Strong analytical, research, and financial modeling skills
  • Computer science coursework and experience highly desirable
  • Advanced Excel or programming skills required
  • Technical ability to develop electronic data rooms (internal and external SharePoint sites)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Driven to get tasks done promptly
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working closely with C-Level and senior executives (CEO, CFO, global business leaders, etc.)
  • Discretion and good business judgment are paramount in this role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build compelling narratives with relevant supporting materials
  • Ability to develop sophisticated PowerPoint presentations
  • Ability to deliver presentations with confidence in senior management meetings

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • A Bachelors Degree is required/MBA desirable

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures
  • The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary
  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment
  • Occasional travel may be required
