Overview

The Financial Analyst, Treasury is responsible for the preparing debt covenant calculations, delivering compliance reporting, satisfying lender KYC/due diligence, and initiating the firm’s lending relationships’ renewals and asset maturities processes.

Essential Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities)

The Financial Analyst, Treasury will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Daily

  • Assist in the closing of loans for both agency and structured products
  • Work with the respective pipelines, in house closing officers, underwriters and legal counsel in addition to representatives from the Company’s various banking relationships to ensure adequate availability and cost efficiency under the various credit lines

Monthly

  • Prepare and report compliance under the various bank lending agreements
  • Review, analyze, and report results of cash management under various deposit agreements
  • Analyze and report on financing costs incurred under the various lending arrangements
    Recurring
  • Project usage and availability under various banking lines, based on projected loan volumes for all agency and structured products
  • Maintain schedules of various bank relationships summarizing lending arrangements, deposit agreements, and any other key information
  • Assist in the management of credit facilities including pay down requirements, expirations, renewals and amendments, as required
  • Liaison with Accounting and Asset Management on various matters including compliance reporting, lender requests and inquiries
  • Research and analyze market information related to bank financing and cash management for competitive set
  • Assist with organization and follow up of bank contacts

Qualifications

Education: College degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA preferred)

Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years work experience preferably in Treasury or Finance/Accounting

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong accounting foundation
  • Commercial real estate experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills are preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required
  • Robust reporting skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and resolution skills
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Team player, but ability to be productive independently
