Associates in our Tokyo office play a key role in developing and strengthening client relationships, participating in advisory teams, and structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. Responsibilities include:
- Creating and analysing financial models
- Organizing and preparing client presentations
- Managing transaction processes
- Assisting in structuring transactions
- Associates gain exposure to the firm’s global businesses and deepen their understanding of the investment banking industry while developing key analytical, communication, and marketing skills.
They are actively involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), fixed income, and equity issuances. Associates also:
- Perform customized company valuation analysis
- Coordinate teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers
- Lead due diligence processes
- Participate in legal negotiations
- Maintain client communication and help structure transactions
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ investment banking or equivalent experience
- Native Japanese language skills
- History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
- Strong team orientation and ability to work effectively across groups and regions
