International Finance, Valuation Associate, Luxembourg Full Time NEW

We are currently looking to hire an Associate for the BEFM Valuation team (BEFM Valuation), which is primarily responsible for the review of the valuation of investments of the funds under BEFM management.

Responsibilities

The role will be a key part of the International Finance team in Luxembourg. It is part of a small team and therefore is a hands-on role. Working closely with the other Finance teams globally, they will be responsible for the following areas, with an expertise focused on some fund strategies.

• Investments valuation review
  • Reviewing the investment committee memo and calibrations
  • Reviewing the internal valuation material and the third-party valuation reports
  • Reviewing investment valuation analysis at fund level and documenting the review
• Completing due diligence on Blackstone valuation teams
• Participating to the new fund onboardings
• Proposing improvements of the valuation process, enhancement of procedures and processes as well as the use of offshore resources and technology
• Maintain and develop a strong collaboration with other teams
• Manage responsibilities and tasks assigned to the offshore consultants
• BEFM and Global Finance and Asset Management – develop collaboration with the US, APAC and EMEA teams to solve problems, achieve results and develop best practices
• Preparing management information for the Management Committee meetings and BEFM & Fund Board Meetings
• Other ad-hoc projects and general administrative tasks

Qualifications & Skills

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team, are highly motivated, with a sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.

• Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar discipline (CFA or CAIA is a plus)
• +4-5 years of relevant financial services industry experience (including a prior experience in a Big 4) with good understanding of alternative industry operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in valuation methodologies and practices, combined with strong leadership skills to effectively support the management and organization of the team in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional organizational and documentation abilities, with a proven capacity to structure workflows, maintain accurate records, and ensure high-quality deliverables across all valuation projects
• Knowledge of the local regulatory requirements in relation to AIFM and Luxembourg Funds
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint required, strong appetite to use of technology
• Analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
• Team player with resourceful mindset and efficiency-driven
• Fluent in English, both written and oral
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
• Highly motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative and manage competing priorities to tight reporting
