Job Description:
The BXMA Asia Operations team is seeking an analyst in the Hong Kong office to assume the following responsibilities:
- Support daily operations including, but not limited to, trade capture, settlements, corporate actions, reconciliations, and exception resolution.
- Manage allocations to counterparts for cash securities, convertible instruments, and other products to facilitate prompt settlements.
- Communicate with sell-side brokers and trading counterparts regarding market updates and address trade-related issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams globally to assist with trade matters pertaining to Asia and EMEA regions.
- Coordinate with Prime Brokers, Custodians, and Fund Administrators to resolve trade discrepancies and respond to inquiries.
- Prepare ad hoc risk and performance reports for Traders and Portfolio Managers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of experience in trade support, middle office, or fund administration within investment banking or equivalent roles in financial institutions; prior experience with hedge funds or fund administrators is advantageous.
- Proficient understanding and experience with equity, fixed income, or derivatives products and comprehensive knowledge of the trade life cycle.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced working with technology teams on system enhancements.
- Highly proactive, self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and able to work independently.
- Collaborative team player with strong work ethic.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with Python, SQL, VBA is a plus.
