Associates in the Capital Markets group will be part of a small team tasked with managing the debt across Blackstone’s $600bn real estate portfolio. They will have the opportunity to lead a wide range of capital markets and real estate transactions across all asset classes including public market debt and equity transactions, securitization, private market secured and unsecured credit deals, fund level financings and interest rate and currency hedging transactions.
Responsibilities:
Associates will work on a wide range of transactions and responsibilities will typically include:
- Providing analysis on financing alternatives for acquisitions
- and refinancings
- Analyzing and tracking existing debt positions to identify accretive refinancing opportunities in conjunction with asset management and acquisition teams
- Modeling financial costs, terms and structures in conjunction with deal team analysts
- Negotiating financing terms and transactions
- Spearheading the execution and closing of transactions
- Leading the preparation of materials used to solicit bids from lenders on financings
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial real estate financing experience
- High proficiency of Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be a collaborative team player
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly motivated and diligent
- Contribute positively to the collegial atmosphere of the team
