We are looking for a Real Estate Equity Associate to strengthen the commercial and strategic management of our rental real estate portfolio.
What is the mission of your position…
The Real Estate Equity Associate will be responsible for maximizing revenue, optimizing occupancy, and strengthening business relationships for the Company’s rental real estate portfolio.
They will act as a liaison between business strategy , operational execution , and daily interaction with various tenants and intermediaries , ensuring decisions are based on market, risk, and profitability analysis.
This role will have a direct role in defining placement strategies, contract negotiation, evaluation of potential tenants, and cross-functional coordination with key internal areas such as Legal, Collections, Operations, and Asset Management.
What will you do in this role…
Commercial Strategy and Portfolio Growth
- Define, update and execute the commercial strategy for rental real estate assets.
- Analyze submarkets, trends, rents, and vacancy levels to guide pricing and positioning decisions.
- Develop and manage placement and contract renewal plans, ensuring alignment with revenue objectives.
- Design marketing and outreach strategies to increase exposure and attract quality tenants.
Tenant Relations and Management
- Evaluate potential tenants through analysis of financial statements, business background, and risk criteria.
- Maintain direct and ongoing contact with current tenants, anticipating needs and strengthening long-term relationships.
- Accompany and lead commercial negotiations, presenting proposals with financial backing.
- Define a strategy for enabling spaces, coordinating with the different areas and actors involved.
Comprehensive Asset Management
- Monitor key indicators: rents, delinquency, occupancy, due dates and commercial performance of each asset.
- Keep the Rent Roll and contractual documentation up to date on corporate platforms.
- Supervise the collection management in collaboration with the Collection and Prosecutor’s Office when appropriate.Commercial
Execution, Control and Governance
- Prepare, present and support commercial and contractual closings in internal instances.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, approval workflows, and MetLife corporate standards.
- Participate in business follow-up meetings, reporting progress, risks, and next steps.
- Manage the relationship with brokers, generating a constant pipeline of business opportunities.
To contribute to your success, it’s important that you have…
Academic background
- Commercial Engineering, Industrial Civil Engineering or related field.
Work experience - At least 3 years of experience in commercial or real estate investment roles.
- Demonstrable experience in income-producing assets , including direct negotiation and business analysis.
