The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is seeking an Associate Real Estate Agent/Professional to add to its dynamic team to help identify, acquire, manage, and dispose of real property.
Salary: Assistant Real Estate Agent – $76,889.54 – $93,034.24
Salary: Associate Real Estate Agent – $94,831.88 – $114,835.75
Under direction, an Associate Real Estate Agent identifies, appraises, acquires, manages, and disposes of real property necessary to plan, design, construct, maintain, and operate transportation projects, programs, and facilities.
The Associate Real Estate Agent is the journey level in the Real Estate Agent class series. Incumbents at this level work independently on complex real estate appraisals, appraisal reviews, acquisitions, lease negotiations, and relocations, and exercise independent judgment and initiative in making recommendations and resolving problems.
This class is responsible for the coordination, direction, and review of real estate consultant work efforts on a project or function basis, and may provide lead supervision to lower level staff.
Training, education, and experience that demonstrates possession of the required knowledge and abilities.
Development of the required knowledge and abilities is typically obtained through graduation from an accredited college or university and three years of increasingly responsible experience in appraisal, negotiations for the purchase of real property, or property management, two years of which includes experience acquiring real property for public agency projects.
Directly related experience, including but not limited to transportation planning, escrow services, and land title examination, may be substituted for the educational requirement. Possession of, or the ability and willingness to obtain, a valid California driver’s license.
