In this position, you will support MLJ ‘s real estate equity investment and commercial real estate loan investment portfolios in Japan through investment approval processes, deal execution management, portfolio monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and internal governance operations. You will work closely with MIMJ , as well as the Risk Management, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Operations departments.

Job Responsibilities :
Real Estate Equity Investment Support
- We will support MLJ ‘s asset management operations during the acquisition, sale, and holding periods of its domestic real estate equity portfolio.
- We provide support for the preparation of investment approval documents, management reports, and various internal company reports.
- Implement approval processes and internal coordination with risk management, finance, legal, compliance, and other relevant departments.
- We provide support for closing deals, coordinating funding, reviewing contracts, handling KYC ( Know Your Customer) procedures, reviewing legal information, applying for official seals, and other procedures related to project execution.
- We support internal review and approval procedures for PM contracts, various outsourcing contracts, contract amendments, and other important contracts.
- Supports investment-related record management, contract management, document management, and business reporting operations.
Commercial Real Estate Loan ( CML ) Investment Support
- We provide support for evaluation, monitoring, and governance services related to domestic commercial real estate loan investments.
- We provide support for the preparation of investment approval documents, management reports, and various internal reports.
- Coordinate with MIMJ and external service providers regarding borrower requests, lender agreements, waivers, contract changes, and other servicing-related matters .
- We conduct quarterly asset reviews and annual mortgage rating assessments to support ongoing portfolio monitoring and reporting.
- Manage loan-related information and periodic reports received from borrowers, servicers, and investment management companies, and use them for internal monitoring and reporting.
- Respond to inquiries and provide information from internal and external auditors, risk management departments, finance departments, and other relevant departments.
- We support project execution tasks such as coordinating fund allocation, reviewing contracts, handling KYC ( Know Your Customer) procedures, conducting legal reviews, applying for official seals, obtaining internal approvals, and other project execution activities.
- Experience/Background :
- Applicants must have at least three years of practical experience in a financial institution or related financial services industry.
- Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders, both inside and outside the company.
- Experience in operational tasks requiring high accuracy and attention to detail is required.
Required skills :

Position Summary
This position supports the real estate equity and commercial mortgage loan investment activities in Japan of MetLife Insurance K.K. (“MLJ”) from the asset owner’s perspective.
MLJ is responsible for developing investment strategies, evaluating investment opportunities, making investment decisions, and overseeing investment performance. MetLife Investment Management Japan Ltd. (“MIMJ”), acting under investment strategies and investment decisions established by MLJ, is responsible for transaction sourcing, execution, and day-to-day asset management activities.
The successful candidate will support investment approval processes, transaction execution oversight, portfolio monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and internal governance activities across MLJ’s real estate equity and commercial mortgage loan portfolios in Japan. The role requires close collaboration with MIMJ and various internal functions, including Risk Management, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Operations.

Responsibilities:
1. Real Estate Equity Investment Support

- Coordinate borrower requests, lender consent matters, waivers, amendments, and other servicing-related activities with MIMJ and external service providers.
- Conduct quarterly asset reviews and annual mortgage rating assessments, and support ongoing portfolio monitoring and reporting activities.
- Manage loan-related information and periodic reporting received from borrowers, servicers, and investment managers for internal monitoring and reporting purposes.
- Respond to inquiries and provide information requested by internal and external auditors, Risk Management, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.

Experience:
