Senior Associate, Real Estate and Digital Infrastructure Full Time

Blackstone’s Real Estate Private Equity Group offers their professionals the chance to work in all aspects of real estate investing and can expect to be staffed on multiple transactions at one time. Senior Associates are involved with the development, structuring and financing of transactions and regularly attend both external and internal meetings, negotiations and due diligence sessions.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and execute investments in Asia-Pacific, with focus in Southeast Asia real estate and regional digital infrastructure.
• Perform market research and valuation analyses of prospective investment opportunities in different real estate and digital infrastructure sectors, including data centers, renewables, office, shopping malls, warehouses, residential and hotels.
• Act as point person for acquisitions, work with senior management and coordinate analyst responsibilities.
• Perform extensive due diligence on each transaction, including travelling to the properties, meeting with management, coordinating with various advisors, and formulating investment strategies and business plans.
• Prepare written analyses and evaluations of investment opportunities for Blackstone’s Real Estate Private Equity Group’s investment committee.
• Participate in execution of transactions, including negotiations of contracts and agreements with sellers and financing banks.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Blackstone’s existing real estate portfolio in the country and also in the region.
• Develop and maintain relationships with portfolio companies / JV partners / operating partners external asset managers to ensure maximum investment returns on assets in the portfolio.
• Work closely with the regional and global asset management teams in managing current investments, including analysing potential refinancing and exit opportunities. role will also entail working closely with other Blackstone internal stakeholders including portfolio management, finance, legal and compliance, institutional client services.
• Participate in both internal and external client meetings.

Qualifications:

• At least 5-7 years of finance experience, ideally in real estate, infrastructure or real asset investment experience
• Superior academic achievement. Bachelor’s degree with honors from a top university or college
• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented. Strong project management, financial and analytical skills are required.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects at a time
• A self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Genuine interest in the real estate industry
• Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong work ethic to persevere; genuine passion for excellence; results-oriented
• Personal and professional integrity
• Advanced user in Excel, PowerPoint and AI applications
