Senior Surveyor Full Time NEW

For our Milan office, we are seeking a Senior Surveyor who will be responsible for ensuring the professional execution of all appraisal activities required to ensure the correct determination of property values, both in the application of appraisal methods and in the collection and analysis of market data, as well as in the review of appraisal reports.

Activity

The successful candidate will be part of the Hotels – Valuation team, managing the following activities:

• He or she will plan and carry out evaluation activities with a focus on the hospitality sector, independently managing the various steps until the process is completed in compliance with the Practice Area Guidelines and the requirements requested from time to time for each activity, as well as the agreed-upon timeframes.
• Specifically, he or she will be responsible for gathering documentation necessary for carrying out activities, interacting directly with the client.
• He/she will independently conduct technical inspections, including stakeholder interviews where possible.
• He/she will carry out accurate market analyses and research aimed at gathering data on the performance of hotels comparable to the one being analysed from time to time, or will guide more junior resources in carrying them out;
• The appraiser will then independently carry out real estate valuations, using generally accepted methods and principles according to international standards (comparative method, income method, discounted cash flow method, transformation method, cost method), maintaining complete compliance with the RICS Red Book.
• Depending on the type of activity, the candidate will independently draft the evaluation report or will incorporate and review sections of it that may have been prepared by more junior members of the team;
• He will independently manage the return of the analyses to the customer with the support of the line manager.
• Will proactively collaborate with the Valuation team in conducting evaluation activities;
• He will demonstrate commercial acumen and a willingness to collaborate with other service lines with a view to providing customers with an integrated service on multiple fronts.
• The candidate will conduct their work in accordance with company policies and procedures, which will be outlined during the onboarding process (conflict check, risk assessment, job opening form, job creation, etc.).

Skill

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Economics and Business
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a professional in real estate valuations, gained in consultancy firms, asset management companies or real estate funds
• Previous experience in the hotel industry will be considered a plus
• Excellent knowledge of Italian and English, both written and spoken
• Excellent knowledge and use of the Microsoft Office package, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Any membership in RICS or the relevant professional order/register will be considered a plus
• Strong customer and goal-oriented orientation
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and teamworking skills
• Proactive approach and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in national and international contexts
