A.CRE Accelerator Reviews (Updated March 2026)

The A.CRE Accelerator continues to grow in prominence and recognition as an industry standard for teaching real estate financial modeling to new and established CRE professionals. Those who complete the program exhibit an advanced proficiency that ranks among the top in the industry. As of May 2026, over 2900 individuals have graduated from the Accelerator, while that number continues to grow with thousands more currently enrolled in the program.
Upon completing the 17-course Accelerator core curriculum, A.CRE Accelerator graduates are provided an opportunity to share a review of their Accelerator experience and self-report on how much their real estate financial modeling skills improved as a result of the program. In this post, we summarize the results of that post-Accelerator survey.
First, we’ll share the results of our survey related to proficiency, before and after taking the Accelerator. Then, we’ll share the candid Accelerator Reviews. These reviews come in response to a question about their overall experience.

A.CRE Accelerator Graduate Progress Report (2.5x Improvement)
In addition to providing a candid review of their experience (scroll to see reviews below), Graduates share their proficiency level modeling real estate before and after taking the program. The results are illustrated below from over 1900 individuals who shared their progress.
Average Beginning Proficiency of 3
Graduates are first asked: When you started the Accelerator, at what level was your real estate financial modeling proficiency? 1 being a complete beginner and 10 a complete expert.
The average Accelerator Graduate rated their beginning proficiency at about a three (3).
Average Ending Proficiency of 8
Graduates are then asked: On a scale from 1 to 10, how would you rate your real estate financial modeling proficiency after completing the Accelerator?
The average Accelerator Graduate rated their ending proficiency at about an eight (8). Greater than a 2.0x improvement in their overall proficiency.

Wish the price we pay gave us access for more than a year though, I am also completing breaking into wall street’s real estate modeling course which is likely a bit more rigorous from a pure finance perspective and explaining WHY certain calculations are what they are but not as good in terms of real estate specific industry standards (it is really more investment banking focused) thus does not have the same direct carry over to my job that this course does. I would like the opportunity to finish the BIWS course to really understand what is happening when I am calculating all of these cashflows and then come back and be able to apply that knowledge to this course by being able to take it again. I may be able to do that but would feel more confident in my timeline if this course had lifetime access.”

“As someone who had been doing acquisition modeling for a living for the past few years, I’d say it was enlightening in certain ways. It combined a lot of things I already knew with things I didn’t understand very well. It also taught me new ways of structuring a spreadsheet and some new formulas and approaches. Having been exposed to mostly Office/Retail/Industrial in my professional life, it was helpful to learn also about Hotel and Resi. The best of it was that the course puts structure to the chaos of knowledge one has when entering and doing the job. Many people talk the talk, but in my experience very few people in the industry know how to actually model through and through and understand everything they’re doing in its conceptual and practical entirety. Coming into the course, I had a firm understanding of the fundamentals that went into valuing real estate and creating models, but I didn’t have a great understanding of exactly how a model was put together and how it differed from other types of fundamental valuation models. I think the Accelerator did a good job of showing how different the income statements of the four main property types plus hotels are from each other. The lessons were in a good order and built well on each other. One area that I could have spent more time on is the section that goes over the different line items to get to NOI. If anything, this course has reminded me how much there is to learn about real estate financial modeling. In case this data is useful to you, I would estimate I have spent between 70-90 hours on this course so far. I will likely spend another 30-50 hours going over material again before I feel confident modeling all models and property types entirely by myself. I think I would want to spend about 150-175 hours in the Accelerator before I felt really confident walking into a real estate private equity interview. Thank you!”

As a senior at a liberal arts college (Middlebury) who is working towards a career in commercial real estate, entrance to the industry has been daunting, especially considering my complete lack of excel/real estate financial modeling experience. I had felt like almost a fraud going into internship interviews or when networking because I knew there was this massive weakness in my resume regarding my modeling abilities. The lack of modeling skills in my education made a career in the industry seem almost impossible as most companies expect high proficiencies for even entry-level hires and give little to no training programs. This program has expanded my knowledge of the financial fundamentals that drive value in the CRE industry, and also made me confident in my ability to succeed in Analyst roles in the industry because of the case-based program that mimics the work of actual analysts. “The courses and the material are great, extremely well-made and informative, but when it comes to assignments, I think the course can do a better job of training people because the assignments, despite being well-designed, are rare and large, which in turn leads to a potentially rushed effort of completing the task while memorizing as much you can along the way. Eventually, due to the lack of muscle memory in modeling tasks, most of the material, and especially the details, start to fade away within a day or two. My suggestion would be to increase the number of tasks significantly (treat it like math learning when it comes to modeling specifically) while making them modular, more specialized on specific sections within a model instead of having one very large assignment at the end of the course (such assignments are great as capstones, and their number can also be increased). That will help to learn not only the theory behind it, but also the muscle memory of modeling algorithms.”

I would say it is advanced and going through the course just once and letting it be probably wont give you what you need because especially for the capstone projects you need to fully understand the logic behind the processes in the model and not just rote learn the formulas in order to get the most benefit out of it. Once you do that you can find yourself customising the models to your liking which will further allow you to take the information in.”
