1. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Contact and account information: your name, email address, country, ZIP or postal code and password when you create an account, download a model, place an order, register for an event, request information or contact support. An account is required to download models, use the Job Board or join the Accelerator.
- Orders and billing: what you buy, prices, coupons and billing details. Card and bank details are entered into and processed by our payment processors (Stripe, PayPal and Partially). We do not store full card numbers.
- Course and membership activity: enrollments, lesson progress, quiz results and certificates.
- Job Board information: job postings, company details and résumés or applications you submit.
- Communications and support requests: when you contact us through our website, by email or through a support or contact form, we collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, the content of your message and any attachments. We also keep survey responses and entries to contests or promotions we run on the Site or our social media channels.
Information collected automatically:
- Device and log information: IP address, browser and operating system, referring and exit pages, date and time, and the pages you view. Our servers and security providers record this to run and protect the Site.
- Essential cookies: for example to keep you signed in, hold your cart, process payments, prevent fraud and remember your cookie choice. See our Cookie Policy.
- Analytics and advertising data: analytics and advertising tools collect information about your visit, as described in sections 3 and 5. Depending on your region, these tools load only after you give consent, or load by default with the option to turn them off at any time.
Information from other sources:
- Payment processors tell us whether a payment succeeded.
- When you arrive from an ad or a campaign link, we record the campaign details in the link (for example UTM tags). Where analytics and advertising cookies are allowed for you (see section 5), we also record the ad platform’s click identifier (Google, Meta or LinkedIn) so we can see which ads led to a purchase.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Services: create and manage your account, process orders, deliver courses, models and certificates, and run the Job Board and events.
- To communicate with you and support you: order and account emails, replies to your questions and support requests and, if you subscribe, our newsletters. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. When you contact support, we may match your message to your A.CRE account (for example your membership, orders and course progress) so our team can help you faster. We use AI-assisted tools, provided by mainstream US-based AI model providers and hosting services, to help organize and draft responses to support requests. A member of our team handles your request.
- To keep the Site secure: detect and prevent spam, fraud and abuse, including through Google reCAPTCHA on forms and sign-in.
- To understand and improve the Site: analytics on how pages and features are used, subject to your consent where required in your region.
- To improve our services and internal tools: we may use anonymized or de-identified information derived from support requests and other communications to understand common questions, improve our products and services, and build and improve internal tools, including through artificial intelligence and automation. Before we use communications this way, we take reasonable steps to remove names, contact details and other information that could reasonably identify you, and we do not attempt to re-identify anonymized information.
- To measure and deliver advertising, subject to your consent where required in your region: see section 5.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations and to enforce our Terms of Use.
3. Cookies, pixels and similar technologies
We use two kinds of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential: always on, because the Site needs them to work (signing in, cart and checkout, payments, security and remembering your cookie choice).
- Analytics and advertising: from Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads), LinkedIn (Insight Tag) and Meta (Meta Pixel). Whether these load before you make a choice depends on your region. Where the law requires consent, they stay off until you click “Accept all.” Elsewhere they may load by default, and you can turn them off at any time.
You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page (and, where consent is required, the cookie badge in the bottom-left corner). Your choice applies across our adventuresincre.com sites, and is carried over when you follow a link between adventuresincre.shop and adventuresincre.com. The Cookie Policy lists the cookies we use.
4. How we share information and who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as follows:
- Payment processors: Stripe, PayPal and Partially, to take payments and prevent fraud.
- Hosting, delivery and security providers: DigitalOcean and SiteGround (hosting) and Cloudflare (content delivery and security), located in the United States.
- Email providers: email delivery providers that send our account, order and support emails and our newsletters.
- Customer support software: we use third-party customer support and ticket management software to organize, manage and respond to inquiries. Information you submit through our contact and support forms or by email is transmitted to and stored by these providers, who process it on our behalf.
- AI service providers: mainstream US-based AI model providers and hosting services that process support requests on our behalf to help our team respond (see section 2). We use these providers only as service providers acting for us.
- Automation and course delivery: automation services and the learning and community platforms we use to deliver our programs, so your enrollment and progress follow you to the right place.
- Security: Google reCAPTCHA, which receives information about your device and how you interact with protected forms.
- Analytics and advertising partners, subject to your consent where required in your region: Google, LinkedIn and Meta (see section 5).
- Product analytics on some A.CRE web applications: on certain tools, such as our models application, we use PostHog for product analytics and session replay, which records on-screen interactions such as navigation, clicks and scrolling. Sensitive input fields, including payment fields, are masked so what you type into them is not captured.
- Embedded content: videos hosted by YouTube, Vimeo or Wistia, and error monitoring by Sentry on some pages. These providers may collect information about your device and viewing when the content loads or plays.
- Legal and business reasons: our professional advisers, authorities when required by law or to protect our rights and users, and a buyer or successor if our business is reorganized or sold.
5. Advertising and your choices
- Whether analytics and advertising tools load before you make a choice depends on your region. Where consent is required, they load only after you click “Accept all”, and choosing “Reject all” (or “Essential only”), or making no choice, keeps them off. Elsewhere, they may load by default and you can turn them off at any time.
- When they load, Google, LinkedIn and Meta receive information such as your IP address, browser details, the pages you visit and cookie identifiers. They use it to measure our ads and to show you A.CRE ads on other websites. Under California law this may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Where advertising cookies are allowed for you and you buy after clicking a LinkedIn ad, we send LinkedIn the ad click identifier and the order value (not your name or email) so LinkedIn can report how the ad performed.
- You can withdraw your consent or opt out at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page (and, where consent is required, the cookie badge in the bottom-left corner).
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or similar opt-out signal, advertising tools stay off unless you choose “Accept all” yourself.
6. Security measures
We use secure payment processors like Stripe and PayPal, so we do not store payment card information directly. Regular security assessments are conducted to maintain data safety.
7. Retention periods
- Account information is kept while your account exists and deleted at your request (see section 8).
- Support requests and related correspondence are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your request, maintain appropriate business records and meet legal obligations, and are then deleted or anonymized.
- Payment data retention complies with Stripe and PayPal policies.
- Order records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Your cookie choice is remembered for up to 12 months; some browsers delete it sooner.
- Analytics and advertising data is kept according to the retention settings of each provider.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you, or receive it in a portable format;
- correct it or ask us to delete it;
- withdraw consent or opt out, including for analytics and advertising cookies (use the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of any page);
- opt out of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any email).
You can delete your account through Account Settings. For any other request, contact us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
9. California and other US state privacy rights
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you have the rights described in section 8, including the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to delete and correct it; and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. In the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described above:
- identifiers (such as name, email address, IP address and account and cookie identifiers);
- commercial information (such as purchases);
- internet or other electronic activity (such as pages viewed and interactions with our Site and ads);
- approximate location (from IP address or the ZIP code you give us);
- professional information (such as job postings and résumés on the Job Board).
We disclose these categories to the service providers listed in section 4 for business purposes. We do not sell personal information for money. We share identifiers and internet activity with Google, LinkedIn and Meta for advertising as described in section 5, and you can opt out at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link; we also honor Global Privacy Control signals. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We respond to verified requests within the time required by law.
10. Visitors outside the United States
We are based in the United States and process information here. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you (for example to deliver a course you bought), your consent (for analytics and advertising cookies and marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time), our legitimate interests (for example keeping the Site secure), and legal obligations. You also have the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Children
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Incident management protocol
- Investigate: Prompt investigation of any data breaches.
- Contain: Measures taken to prevent further unauthorized access.
- Notify: Affected users notified within 72 hours where feasible.
- Report: Reporting incidents to relevant authorities.
- Review: Conducting a post-incident analysis to improve protections.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We will post any changes on this page. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when this Policy last changed.
14. Accessibility
Our commitment to accessibility, and how to tell us about a barrier, are described in our Accessibility Statement.
