Note from the A.CRE Team. This is a guest post by Richard Matricaria, EVP/Chief Operating Officer – Western Division of Marcus and Millichap. Over the past year, A.CRE has collaborated with Marcus and Millichap to provide exclusive training for its incoming real estate professionals. We’ve been impressed with the firm’s commitment to preparing its new (and existing) team members for the analytical rigors of the industry. And so when the William A. Millichap Fellowship was announced, we were excited to share it with our audience.

Unleashing the Potential of Tomorrow’s Commercial Real Estate Leaders

The 24-month training and development program honors the late William A. Millichap, co-founder of Marcus & Millichap. It epitomizes his dedication to cultivating strong educational foundations for the next generation of industry leaders. We’ve partnered with similar-minded organizations to design a comprehensive program with leading-edge information and diverse viewpoints.

Community Impact

Our Fellows will benefit from meaningful experiences and professional development opportunities with CREW Network and Project Destined while also contributing to their local communities.

Deal-Level Education

We believe A.CRE’s financial modeling training is the best in the industry. Since last February, we’ve offered the Accelerator to everyone at Marcus & Millichap. We’ve incorporated the modules into the Fellowship curriculum to ensure participants have a solid grasp of underwriting.

Product Type Specific Insights

To gain insights into the nuances of different product sectors, Fellows will have access to industry affiliations like NAIOP, ICSC, NMHC, and others.

A Fellowship to honor the co-founder of Marcus and Millichap.

How It Works

The program allows Fellows the opportunity to:

  • Work full-time engaging in experiential education and cross-departmental learning opportunities
  • Attend workshops led by industry executives
  • Take courses through Marcus & Millichap University
  • Shadow top advisors and managers within the firm

The first 12 months are segmented into four phases with specific learning objectives. The phases progressively build upon:

  • Critical research
  • Financial analysis
  • Marketing
  • Relationship-building skills

With the help of an executive coach, Fellows choose a career concentration. The second year is focused on specialized training in this area of concentration.

Fellows receive a competitive salary and benefits during their first year and are offered a draw against future commissions in their second. Incentive opportunities are also possible with excellent performance.

A rigorous 24-month training and development program for up-and-coming commercial real estate professionals.

Where It’s Offered

We want our Fellows to have access to the top leaders and mentors within the firm. Therefore, the fellowship will initially be offered in select cities:

  • Atlanta
  • Chicago
  • Cleveland
  • Dallas
  • Denver
  • Fort Lauderdale
  • Los Angeles
  • New York City
  • Phoenix
  • San Diego
